Zyahna's Birthday Cake Smash & Pictures

Hello, all! I just did a photo shoot with a friend's one year old.
She is so happy and smiley all the time, so this one was a breeze! :) Hope you enjoy!

(By the way, some of these are not edited, so if they look funny, it's because the one or two before it were edited. I think the first nine are edited and then there are some that have not been touched.)

I was experimenting with the lighting and got this good one of the flowers I used as a prop.

On to the pictures! :) These were taken outside, but the ones of her cake smash were taken inside. Personally, I like these the best.

I really like the style of mirror shots, so I was so thrilled when Casie pulled one out and asked if I could use it for a prop.

Amalyah, her older sister, was trying to be helpful and gave Zyahna the mirror to hold. It didn't turn out so well, and Zyahna ended up falling off of the crate. :) It was cute anyway.

Now for the cake smash photos. I did some pictures before hand to get the lighting right, and Casie wanted me to get some shots of the cake before Zyahna destroyed it.

For the cake smash photos, Zi wasn't as cooperative, but they still turned out pretty cute.

She wanted nothing to do with the cake. Every time she looked at it, she would start crying.

That is, until she got a taste of it. :)

Here is the cake WE got to eat! :) It looked so pretty and elegant, you about didn't want to ruin it!

More cake smash pictures. These were taken later, after Zi had a nap. She was way more happy in these!

Well, that's all! Hope you enjoyed them. I wish I would've gotten some better ones for the cake smash, but she was grumpy, so there wasn't really anything I could do about it... The ones I did get turned out pretty good though. :)
Thanks for reading!
Blessings!

Danberry Wedding- August 26, 2016

My first experience of having the responsibility of being a wedding photographer was the day of Isaiah and Darla's wedding. I was very excited and a little nervous too. Thankfully there were two other photographers there as well, but I still felt a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. That's what I get for wanting to photograph weddings. (:

The first place I took pictures at was in the room where the bridal party was getting ready.

Little Jackson was supposed to be in the wedding, but he fell asleep and didn't wake up until the wedding was over.

Working on the mamma of the bride's hair. :)

Now for Darla's (the bride) hair. She wanted it to be similar to a bohemian braid. I think it turned out absolutely beautiful!

Adding modifications to the braid.

Peaking out the window at the groom.

The flower girl's turn for a makeover!

The ceremony begins at last! It started at 7:30 pm and didn't end until around 8:45 pm, so it was dark by the time people went to get food.

Isaiah's first look at his beautiful bride.

As part of the ceremony, they washed each others feet.

Saying their vows.

Lighting the unity candle.

Rejoicing happily with the best man and maid of honor.

At the end of the night, I got this shot of my parents. <3

So, overall, it was really exciting and fun to take the pictures for the wedding, but since it was a night wedding, it was pretty difficult:

The wedding was beautiful! Darla was afraid the dark green and orange would look bad, but they blended so well with each other, just like Isaiah and Darla do. <3

Blessings,
Alegra
