Diella's 14th Birthday Portraits

Good morning!!!!

I took these pictures quite a few weeks back, but I wanted to post them on her birthday, so here they are! :)

I woke up to a beautiful, foggy morning with no wind and the perfect lighting.

I woke Diella up and told her to get some nice clothes on because I was going to take her pictures. Surprisingly, she liked the idea!

 

In the field, she wore these adorable sneakers, but she had to change into her muck boots when we went to the corner woods. ;)

Here, I was just experimenting with framing. I thought the frost covered fence was cool.

Here was our second shooting spot. Isn't this light just amazing!?

  

 

 

She was totally in her world. If it was warmer out, she probably would have been looking for worms in the wetland area we were in....

 

 

  

I am so pleased with how they turned out, and I'm glad I got her up early to shoot in this beautiful light.

Portrait Session With A Friend

Good evening!

Last week, we had some friends stay at our house for a couple days. Amalyah showed me one of her outfits and I immediately wanted to take her portraits in it.

Here are my favorites from the shoot.

At first, she thought she broke it and was relieved when I told her it was supposed to be able to come off.

She cracked herself up when she looked through the little hole, and then told me I was orange.

The run back to the house (It was super cold out!!).

Though it was cold (very cold!), I am glad that we ended up going out and taking pictures.

Amalyah is so cute, and I just love photographing her!

Fall Family Pictures

Good morning (almost noon now).

Wednesday evening, we all got dressed up and went to Lonidaw to take family pictures. The lighting was PERFECT! It was so beautiful out!

After Lonidaw, we went to Detering, which was also beautiful. The sun coming through the yellow trees was just amazing!
