Saphira's Portraits- Just Because

So, today, I looked outside and saw how beautiful it was out; not only was cloudy (no shadows), but it was warm too! So I told Saphira to hurry up and eat her breakfast so I could take her pictures.

This is my favorite one.

I love how her eyes are wrinkled up! She's so adorable!

I love this picture too. I think it is so perfect how she's turned to the side and the wind was blowing just right to make her dress kind of flow to the side. I think it's really pretty.

Some of the dandelion seeds got stuck on Saphira's dress when she blew them, and I saw the perfect opportunity for an up close picture. ;)

This was when she tried handing some of the seeds to Kinslee. Kinslee wasn't sure about them being so close to her face, but it was still super cute. :)

Bluebird Fieldtrip

Good evening! Today, we went on a field-trip after piano lessons. It was at a lady's house who "raises" bluebirds. She built houses for them in a beautiful field that has mowed paths and lots of little marshes and ponds. I'm so glad we went. It was much more fun than doing book-work. And, I got some good pictures. :)

 Here is a frog that Josiah found while we were still at piano lessons.

On to the field-trip and seeing the bluebirds!

She made little "feeding stations" at almost every house. We watched as she dumped some meal-worms in the little container and then called to the birds to come get them. :)

Here is a pair of bluebirds that came to the container at the same time.

I snapped a lot of pictures of these two. I was hoping to get at least one picture of both of them looking at me.

 Here is my favorite one of this pair. :) I like how you can see the worm in the females mouth.

 One of the paths we walked. Isn't it beautiful? I told mom I would just go out and watch the birds every day. :) It would be so relaxing.

 The clearing where we checked another house to find that, sadly, a Sparrow had gotten into it and killed the mother bluebird, who was laying on four eggs. It was terribly sad...

Diella's Pictures.... Finally!

Hello, again!

This evening was beautiful; warm, no wind, and no shadows. It was the perfect evening to capture some pictures of Diella..... while she was in the mood. :)

She wanted a book themed photo-shoot, so I gathered up some of the old looking books we have and an old lantern and we headed outside.

Here are the good ones!

(All of these are unedited except for fixing the back-light.

I had her "read" one of the books while I took close up shots of her. I think they all turned out pretty good.

 I finally had to tell her to grin at least a little.... She still had a some-what serious look on her face!

This was actually Josiah's idea, but I thought it was suitable enough for her. :)

Alright! That was all! I wanted to get some more shots, but the sun was setting, and I didn't want my pictures to end up grainy, so we called it quits. I got some good ones, however, I'm hoping that Diella will be in a "wanting to be photographed" mood tomorrow morning, so we can resume the photo-shoot. I doubt she will (since she NEVER wants to be photographed), but I can still hope! :)
