Chain O' Lakes Camping Trip

Good evening.
Yesterday, I edited all the pictures of our camping trip to Chain O' Lakes over the weekend.
Here they are!

Here is the group picture from the hike we took on Saturday.

Sam, picking raspberries that were along the trail.

Only a few of the children actually filled up their hands with berries without eating them all. :)

More berry picking.
The beautiful trail we hiked.
We were mostly in the woods, which I was glad for, since it was so hot out.

Waiting for the parents to catch up and tell us which way to go.

A caterpillar I found while walking.
A puddle in the middle of the trail is always a source of fun when there are children around. ;)

Those were the pictures from the camping trip. Sadly, I didn't get any pictures other than these from the hike.
When we weren't eating or biking, we were on the four-square court, playing with friends from our group and also new friends that we made while we were there.
On Saturday evening, Dad and I went home and then went to church in the morning. After church, we went back to the campground and stayed until close to checkout time- 5:00. We played four-square until it was time to leave, then we said goodbye to the friends we had made and headed home.

I hope you enjoyed this post. I'm bummed now that I didn't take any pictures of us playing four-square or just hanging out by the campfire. Next time I will be keeping my camera on me at all times! :)

Hope you have a blessed week!

Busy As A Bee

Good morning!
Sorry, it's been a while since I last posted. :/ Hopefully, I'll get a post done on our weekend camping trip soon.

A few days ago, Josiah had a bee meeting to go to. We all got to go though.
When we came up the driveway, there was a momma turkey with several (I think I counted nine) babies. When we parked up at the house and Josiah went in for the meeting, Mom, Saphira, Hadassah, and I walked down to see if they were still there. They were, and I quickly got some pictures before they disappeared into the woods. :)

Saphira wanted me to take her picture by this tree, and Hadassah soon joined her, They're so cute. <3

A hive full of busy bees.

Mom, Saphira, and Hadassah.

Up by the house, there was a flower bed area. I went to take pictures of the flowers and found several bees going from flower to flower.

After we had been in the van a while (we had to escape the mosquitoes), Benaiah spotted a doe walking slowly at the edge of the woods. I got my camera and took a few pictures before she turned and walked further into the woods.

I got out of the van to get some shots of the turkeys again. :) This time, I got pretty close to them.

That's all!
I need to edit yesterday's pictures of our camping trip and post them.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
Blessings,
Alegra

Shavuot 2017

Good afternoon!
Sunday was Shavuot. It was an all day event (I think we got home at around 11:30). I didn't get the pictures edited until Monday so I'm a little behind...
But I hope you enjoy the pictures just the same. :)

A special dance performed by the Olsons and Sivils.

One of the Olson boys played bagpipes for one of the songs.

Hadassah, clapping along to the music. :)

Here are all the pictures from the youth games.
If I remember correctly, this game was called "Mummified Oreo".
One person stood, trying to get an Oreo into their mouth without using their hands, while two other people wrapped them in toilet paper. When the toilet paper ran out, they were done. Whoever ate the most Oreo cookies, won.

Each team had a score card for each member of the team.

This game was called "M&M Transfer".
There were four people from each team at six tables (I think), and they each had their own cup. When the timer started, everyone tried to get as many M&Ms into their cup as possible, using straws. When the timer ended, whoever had the most M&Ms in their cup, won.

Here are all the lantern and firework pictures! :)

I started my day at around 6:30 in the morning and ended it at around midnight. It was a long day, but SO worth it. :) Shavuot is my favorite Feast (other than Sukkot), so I always love to go, take pictures, and talk with friends that I only see once a year at this wonderful celebration!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
Have a blessed week!
