Birthday Photo-Session

During Sukkot, I got to take EmmyLou and Prairie's pictures for their birthdays that are coming up. It was perfect outside for pictures the night we did it. It was cloudy, but still beautiful.

The first place we stopped to get some shots, was under the bridge.

Mom and Diella had taken a walk a few days before, and found a beautiful marsh area with a boardwalk and everything! :) It was so pretty.

Of course, EmmyLou collected more leaves. :) Such amazing and beautiful colors.

Thank you for looking through these pictures! I had such a good time, taking their pictures, and they turned out so good! I hope you all like them.
Blessings!

Sukkot 2017

Good morning! I am finally getting around to posting about our Sukkot this year.
I hope you enjoy all the pictures!

(We got to Pokagon Wednesday evening and set up, but I didn't get any pictures of setting up.)

Day 1 - Thursday
Thursday afternoon, the Brothers came to visit. We went on a big group hike to the Spring Shelter. It was a beautiful hike!

Benaiah standing in the cabin doorway at the Spring Shelter.

The big group of children (five families worth of kids).

The adults.

Everyone helped prepare supper after we got back from the hike.

A game of Bocce Ball.

After supper and s'mores, we played a game of Spoons.

Day 2 - Friday

Friday morning, Dad and I went home for a couple of hours. After we got back to camp, we went to the Twelve Tribes with the Smiths. We had a supper of grilled chicken, veggies (onions, peppers, etc.), and sauteed broccoli. Everything was cooked over the campfire. It was delicious!

Sitting around the campfire, singing and telling stories. :)

Day 3 - Saturday

Sadie was going to take the children to go watch Sam and EmmyLou at their ATA tournament, and I got to go along as well! I had never watched them before, so it was a real treat to go cheer them on. :)

We got back just in time for gathering.

The ladies took all of the children into one of the campers and helped them make sukkahs out of graham crackers and frosting.

During the day, Mom, Saphira, Hadassah and I walked to the park across the road from the campground. It was perfect lighting, so I spent most of the time taking pictures. :)

Gertie with one of the babies. <3

Day 4 - Sunday

All of us girls got up first thing on Sunday morning and went up to the horse stable. It was Josiah and Evie Jo's first time riding a horse.

All of the girls (and Josiah) in our group.

The guide let me take my camera, and I got some really good shots.

We got back from the trail ride and I went with the Smiths and Lepleys on a hike. We got to see a Box Turtle, which we identified was a male.

All of the leaves that we collected on the hike.

Day 6 - Monday

Some more friends came to visit on Monday afternoon. We walked to the Spring Shelter to get some group pictures with them.

A perfect candid shot. <3

Some more group photos.

Day 7 - Tuesday

Tuesday was a chill day. :) We didn't really do anything, just hung around the campsite.

Playing Four-Square.

The bike trail was so pretty with all the leaves on the ground.

Dog selfie. :)

Before lunch, a few of us girls went into Lepley's camper and colored.

I also took EmmyLou and Prairie's birthday pictures on Tuesday evening. It was a little chilly, but the lighting was perfect!
( I will do a separate blog post with their pictures)

Tuesday night, we got out the glow sticks. :) I got to experiment with shutter-speed, which was so much fun!

Wednesday evening, Diella and I went home to stay with the dog. During the camping trip, he wore his collars the whole time. Near the end the week, he had sores that he kept scratching and licking. He was so miserable, so Diella and I just stayed with him at home.

That was our whole week! I hope you enjoyed the trip from my view and some of Mom's view). :)

Blessings!
