The Eclipse & A New Calf

Well, a new baby heifer was born on Monday morning.
We didn't get to see the birth, but we watched the baby get licked off and try to stand and walk. It made our day better, seeing a new calf and a new mama cow. Rosie is a great mom. :)

We went to Pokagon State Park to watch the eclipse but got there a little early to hike.
It was a perfect morning to be outside.

Here is Saphira, standing by the toboggan run.

Everyone during the hike.
Our grandma and Aunt Mimi went with us to hike.

During our walk, Aunt Mimi spotted a snake eating a frog along the trail.
We sat and watched until it was done feasting. :)

Aunt Mimi and the two little girls.

Some friends met us there to watch the eclipse.
It was so much fun hanging out with them!

I got a picture of the eclipse using the glasses that we used to look at it.

When we got home, we all decided to name the new calf, Eclipse.
We spent most of the rest of the day checking on her and just watching her (cause she's really cute).

Eclipse is such a healthy little girl. She is usually out in the field, running and jumping about.
It's really funny to watch her with the other calves too, because Briar and Fern aren't to sure about her yet. They just stand and stare at her.

My next post will probably be of our zoo trip tomorrow.
We are going to the Fort Wayne Zoo, and I am super excited!
So until then, I hope you have a great day!

Blessings!
Alegra Hope
