Day 10- Manasota Beach

We started our day by eating donuts for breakfast. They were pretty good if you ask me. :)
Mom didn't especially like the family pictures from yesterday, so after we ate, we dressed back up in our nice clothes and went to Manasota Beach.

We entered Blind Pass Park, and on the way to park the van, we saw a sea turtle. Mom thought it was laying eggs. It hadn't laid any while we were there, but I still got some good shots of it!

We walked to one of the beach entrances and everyone took their positions. Thankfully, it didn't take very long to take all of these pictures.

Everyone was figuring out poses for a silly face picture, and this was Saphira's face the whole time. Grandpa said," Saphi knows what she's gonna do!" :) Apparently she was afraid she would forget what she wanted her face to look like....

And she must have, because once the first picture was taken, she had changed facial expressions! :) She's so cute!

After pictures, we walked back to the van to change and get the beach stuff. While she waited for mom to change her, Saphira used the shovel and started digging by the van. She's so funny!

Her bow was just too cute to not take a picture of.

Sisterly love. <3

For some reason, I couldn't get Benaiah's figure to become lighter. It just stayed a weird dark shade. I hope it looks alright....

Josiah and Saphira dug out a moat for the water to go in. They had fun doing that while Grandpa and Diella were shark tooth hunting.

Hadassah playing in the wet sand.

Hadassah loved playing in the sand until she fell down on her bottom and the water came up all around her. She decided that she did not like that too much and started screaming until Dad came to the rescue...

After he picked her up, she was perfectly fine. :)

My sand covered feet.

We got to see a dolphin swimming out a little ways from the beach. I'm bummed I didn't have my zoom lens with me, but at least I got a decent picture of it! ;)

Footprints in the sand.

The water was so clear and beautiful today! You could see pretty deep down and it made it nice, because I could go farther out and not be afraid I would go off an unexpected ledge.

Some of my findings from today.

Altogether, we found 354 shark teeth and a handful of shells at the beach today. We came home and got into the pool. It felt like getting into a hot tub! It was so warm... We ate pizza for supper and had root beer floats for dessert. Today was a good day (even though some of us weren't really excited about doing pictures again. :) Hope everyone is having a good week so far!
Blessings!
